Privacy Policy

Current version: 10 August 2026.

This Policy explains what personal data sweb.com.ua collects, why we need it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. We deliberately wrote it in plain language: a document nobody understands protects nobody.

In short: we collect only what you send us through the enquiry form, plus anonymised visit statistics. We do not sell your data, do not pass it to advertising brokers and do not use it for profiling.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is SWEB. digital agency, a web development studio based in Ukraine.

For any question about how we handle your data, write to that address — we reply within one business day.

2. What we collect

2.1. Data you give us yourself

When you fill in the enquiry form or the brief, or message us on a messenger, we receive your name, phone number, email address and a description of your task. None of these fields is required by law — you decide what to tell us.

2.2. Data collected automatically

The site records anonymised technical information: device and browser type, approximate region (city level), pages viewed and referral source. This data does not identify an individual person.

2.3. What we do not collect

We never request or store payment card details, passport or ID numbers, health information, religious or political views, or any other special category of personal data.

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Basis: your consent, given by a deliberate action (submitting the form), and steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
  • To perform a contract, once we start working together.
  • To understand how the site performs and improve it. Basis: our legitimate interest in developing our own resource; only anonymised statistics are used.
  • To meet legal obligations — accounting and tax duties relating to concluded contracts.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making and we do not build profiles from it.

4. Who your data may be shared with

We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes. Technically it passes through services the site cannot run without:

  • Hosting provider — storage of the site and database (servers located in Ukraine).
  • Telegram — instant notification of a new enquiry.
  • SWEB’s own CRM — recording enquiries.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — anonymised visit statistics.

Data may be disclosed to public authorities solely on the basis of a properly issued legal request under the laws of Ukraine.

5. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that did not lead to a project — up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Client data under a signed contract — for the duration of the engagement and 3 years afterwards (limitation period and accounting requirements).
  • Anonymised statistics — up to 14 months, per Google Analytics retention settings.

6. Your rights

Under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” No. 2297-VI you have the right to:

  • know which of your data we process and receive a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • request erasure of your data or restriction of processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

If you are located in the European Union, the GDPR additionally applies to you: the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country. Where data is transferred outside the EU, it is processed under the appropriate safeguards provided by the respective service.

To exercise any of these rights, write to digital@sweb.com.ua. We respond within 30 calendar days. We ask you to verify your identity only where we cannot otherwise be sure the request came from you.

7. Cookies

The site uses two kinds of cookies: essential ones, required for the site to function and to remember your language choice, and analytics ones, which produce anonymised visit statistics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working, though some convenience will be lost.

8. Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Access to the admin panel is restricted and protected by two-factor authentication. Forms are protected against automated submission, and the database is backed up daily.

That said, we state plainly: no method of transmitting data over the internet is completely secure. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, but we cannot guarantee absolute security and we accept no liability for the consequences of third-party attempts at unauthorised access.

9. Site content

All material on sweb.com.ua — text, images, design, structure, source code, project descriptions and case studies — is the intellectual property of SWEB or is used under licence. Copying, reproduction or commercial use without our written consent is not permitted.

Client names, trademarks and logos shown in our portfolio belong to their respective owners and are used solely to identify completed projects.

10. Limitation of liability

Information on this site is provided for reference. Prices shown as “from” are indicative: the final cost is agreed after the scope is defined and is fixed in the contract. Publication of information on this site does not constitute a public offer.

We make every effort to keep the site running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and accept no liability for losses caused by technical downtime, actions of the hosting provider or events of force majeure.

The site may link to external resources. We do not control their content and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

11. Age of users

This site is intended for adults and business representatives. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you become aware that a child has sent us their data, please tell us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy — for example when we adopt new services or when legislation changes. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. We flag material changes on the site separately.

13. Governing law

This Policy and any relations arising from it are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Disputes are resolved through negotiation and, failing that, by the courts of Ukraine having proper jurisdiction.
