This page explains which cookies and similar technologies sweb.com.ua uses, why they are needed and how to control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
In short: we set two kinds of files — essential ones (interface language) and analytics ones (Google Analytics). There are no advertising or marketing cookies on this site: we run no remarketing and pass nothing to ad networks.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognise the browser on your next visit: remember the language you chose, count visits, tell a first-time visitor from a returning one.
Alongside cookies, sites use localStorage — also browser storage, but its contents are not sent to the server with every request.
2. Which files we use
2.1. Strictly necessary
Without these the site does not work properly. They do not require consent, because without them we cannot deliver the service you requested by opening the page.
- pll_language — remembers the language you selected (Ukrainian, Russian, English). Set by the Polylang plugin. Retention: 1 year.
- cookies (localStorage) — a record that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page. Kept until you clear browser data.
- wordpress_*, wp-settings-* — administrator session. Created only for staff signed in to the site’s control panel. A regular visitor never receives them.
2.2. Analytics
These show how many people visit, where they come from and which pages they read. The data is anonymised: we see volumes and behaviour, not individuals.
- _ga — distinguishes visitors’ browsers. Google Analytics 4. Retention: up to 2 years.
- _ga_<identifier> — stores session state. Google Analytics 4. Retention: up to 2 years.
We also send Google Analytics a few custom events: starting to fill in a form, submitting an enquiry, and opening a messenger. This tells us which pages generate enquiries. No personal data from the form — name, phone or email — is included in these events.
2.3. What this site does not use
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, the Meta pixel, Google Ads remarketing, heatmaps or session recording. Your data is not passed to advertising brokers and is not used to serve personalised ads.
3. Google as a recipient of data
The analytics files are set by Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager), which means anonymised visit data is also processed on Google’s side. Google may transfer it to other countries under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. How to control cookies
Control happens in your browser, where you can review, delete or block files for a specific site:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Private or incognito browsing deletes all files when you close the window.
If you block the essential cookies the site keeps working but forgets your language choice. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect the site at all — we simply will not see your visit in the statistics.
5. The cookie notice
On your first visit a notice appears at the bottom of the screen. The button confirms you have read it, after which it stops showing. The files themselves are managed through your browser settings, as described above.
6. Changes
If we add a service that sets its own files, we will update this list. The date at the top of the page shows when the document last changed.
