(SW® — 03) Diagnosis

A Canadian business site fails when…

  1. 01

French is bolted on at the end.

French text is often longer than English and breaks buttons and menus. Each language needs its own URLs and a layout that allows for it.

  2. 02

    Email sign-ups are not recorded.

Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) expects consent you can show. Forms need unticked checkboxes and a record of when and where consent was given.

  3. 03

    Taxes ignore the province.

Provincial tax rules and shipping zones should be configured and then confirmed by your accountant.

  4. 04

    Time zones slow every answer.

Kharkiv is 7 to 10 hours ahead of Canada. Written updates and recordings let you review in your own working hours.

Two languages are not twice the work if the site is built for both from the start.

What the companies we have worked with have to say.

All reviews

We sold dancewear through Instagram and were drowning in DM orders. The team built a store where the customer picks size and colour themselves, and orders finally stopped getting lost. Worth adding: we have run the catalogue ourselves ever since, without coming back for small changes.

(SW® — 10) FAQ

Questions before ordering

001. Do you write the French content?

No. You or your translator provides French copy, and we integrate it, structure it and check it displays correctly. We build the multilingual set-up, not the translation.

002. What is CASL and does the site handle it?

CASL is Canada’s anti-spam law on commercial emails. We set up consent forms and records technically; your lawyer must confirm the wording and your email practices.

003. Why not build the site myself with AI?

AI can translate text, but it does not build language-specific URLs, hreflang, layouts that survive longer French or consent records you can show. We use AI as a tool, and a person answers for the result.

004. Does a Canadian site have to be bilingual?

It depends on your market and any rules that apply to you, particularly in Quebec. Check with your lawyer; we make either option straightforward to build.

005. How do we handle the time difference?

Kharkiv is 7 to 10 hours ahead of Canada. We work by email with short screen recordings, so you can review in your own working hours.

006. What does it cost?

From $1,200 for a landing page, $2,500 for a company site and $3,500 for a shop, in USD. A second language adds scope, which we price in the fixed quote.

007. Can I add a language later?

Yes, if the site is structured for it from the start, which we do by default. Adding a language then means adding content, not rebuilding.
